Code Red

Yes I was idle for  a day. One reason why I ended up just sleeping the whole day is because I had my monthly period.. and believe me whenever this time comes, I feel like  a total bum.I don't even feel like talking. I don't know why! must be the hormones. (whatever)
So I slept at around 11:00 PM and woke up at 11:00 AM and FYI that was 12 hours mind you! Hehe.
And when I woke up I found this cashew nuts under my pillow, I almost forgot that I was eating them last night. lol and I don't even know why the hell it was under my pillow like I was scared somebody might steal it.

cashew nuts from Coron Palawan! The bomb!
Anndd.. The other day I bought this cute-beachy-nail polish by Wish that comes in 3 colors (with free toe separator) because I was planning to go to salon to have a mani-pedi and hot oil.

look at that funny toe separator!
but since I was soo damn tired  to get my self off to bed I canceled my appointment :(

annd oh! I had a make over! nah.. not a plastic surgery or anything under the magical power of a knife.
Because If I can afford it, matagal ko ng ipinagawa ang ilong ko.. LMAO!!
Hey look! spot the difference!

Movin' On

2011 has been tough.
I thought 'bout that  when I was waiting for my pizza at Sicilians located at the ground floor in our office.
I was on my way home from a night shift when I decided to buy a 10 inch for breakfast.
I thought that I have to take a heavy breakfast since I will need to have more energy to pack all my things up, more courage and not to cry  ( I am cry baby much ) when I leave the place.

Pepperoni and Italian Sausage Premium Pizza
almost empty :(
Annnd, I started packing right away when I arrived so I can still take a nap after.

My shoes and back packs.
I'm gonna miss my huge dresser for sure :(
And this flower painting hanging on my bedroom's wall.
My favorite spot: The little kitchen. Sorry It's kinda messy since I'm moving out.
This is where I usually spend my time when I have no work because I love to cook And again, sorry it's a mess! lol Anyway, left corner will lead to the bathroom.
And this is the couple's seat and my bunny speaker.
I will surely miss everything! It has been my home for the last two years. I wish we hadn't had to have gone through this kind of situation because I have learned to love the place, but.. oh well.. we all have to move on. Life must go on. :)

Anyway, Here's a music video from Inoj: MOVIN' ON. (naka-relate lang)

This one's for her.

Further to my previous post, I promised that I'm gonna post some of my sister's company outing photos wearing the swimsuits that I'm talkin' about and that took us forever to fit and buy.

Scroll down and.. up to you to judge. hehe..

This is her and If I'm not mistaken, the one piece swimsuit is from Billabong, She's a big fan of Mayor Atienza that's why we chose the Hibiscus  instead of any flower design available around.

Of course, her again, wearing the Neon Orange printed with Hibiscus ,also from Billabong.
Her and her groom-to-be :)
I love this bright yellow summer dress! Looks good on her what'cha think? :)

Wonder why I'm bloggin' 'bout her instead 'bout  me like the usual? Well, let's just say that my sister is like an extension of my self. Without her, I could have died a long time ago struggling with life.

How many times have I told her that I found the right one but I ended up saying, "no.. I don't think He's the one for me." A lot of times. A lot of times I have been blinded but were able to see clearly because she was there. She just laughed at me, and told me, that for me to be able to give love sincerely I must love my self first, above anything and above anyone.

I was also told by her that it's okay to cry for 3 consecutive days after the break up, but I must learn how to forgive and move on on the 4th day, because doing it for the whole week is a total stupidity, wasting life for someone who doesn't even care that you shed tears for them, fighting for someone who's not even worth it.. It should be just for 3 days. lol

I am now on my 2nd day :( I still cry every time I'd think about how I was being treated unfairly. I messed up again.,but then again .. she just laughed at me and said:

" Ar-Ar naman lumindol na sa Japan! magka-ka-TSUNAMI na raw and yet there you are! crying for someone .. who's.. who's not even gwapo!!"

"Kung ayaw niya sa'yo then fine! pack your things and stop crying at umuwi ka dito sa akin!"

LOL..

Oh Life.. She must have been lucky for everything. Good school, good job, nice place and a loving husband-to-be, plus she's my Mom and Dad's favorite.

Me? I always mess up the good things I have in my life.. but lucky for one thing- and that's having her- as a sister. :)

I know she might not be able to read this but at least, all of you who's following and reading my blog knows that this one's for her.
Way back 2003.. I was 17 years old and she was 20.

Five Reasons

I admit, if there's something I'm really addicted about, it's definitely caffeine and I'm starting to feel like I can't live without it.
How I like my coffee? Black.Iced cold and  foamy. Best with chocolate, hard boiled egg and PUREFOODS cornbeef.
Just last month I decided to quit or cut back slowly my caffeine intake and replace it with pineapple juice instead   (I can usually consume 5 to 6 MUGS a day)  I'm trying my best and I think I'm doing pretty good. Now I can actually consume 3 MUGS a day. It's not easy but at least there's an improvement.
A gradual breaking of the habit is much more effective and not nearly as painful, so I would not definitely advise anyone to give up caffeine just like that because it isn't necessary actually, you just have to know when you had enough for the day.
And for me .. 3 mugs is quiet enough.

And just when I'm about to give up this addiction Yahoo! has been good enough to have an article in line with this. The tittle?  5 health reasons to not quit coffee. hehe.. this one is worth posting in a blog. Read.

1. It protects your heart: Moderate coffee drinkers (1 to 3 cups/day) have lower rates of stroke than non coffee drinkers, an effect linked to coffee’s antioxidants.
I say: I knew it! hehe

2. It diverts diabetes: People who drink 4 or more cups of coffee each day may have a lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes, according to some studies.
I say: Okay,so from 3, I have now an excuse to make it 4. hehe..

3. Your liver loves it: One analysis of nine studies found that every 2-cup increase in daily coffee intake reduced liver cancer risk by 43 percent.
I say: 43 percent for every 2-cup? sounds good! hehe..

4. It boosts your brain power: Drinking between 1 and 5 cups a day (admittedly a big range) may help reduce risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, as well as Parkinson’s disease, studies suggest.
I say: Wohoo! more coffee for this !!!

5. It helps your headaches: And not just the withdrawal headaches caused by skipping your daily dose of caffeine! Studies show that 200 milligrams of caffeine—about the amount in 16 ounces of brewed coffee—provides relief from headaches, including migraines.
I say: This is soo true! Skipping my daily dose of caffeine is giving me terrible headache!

There you go.

Five reasons.

Now I have five reasons and that also means Five MUGS. Hehehe.

4am Entry

04:31 AM Manila time. First day of grave yard shift. I am still disoriented, I haven't had much sleep for the last 12 hours. I was supposed to, but my sister dragged me to mall just to find a perfect swim suit that would fit her for their company outing annd Mann, it took us 4 long hours. She had a hard time fitting all the bikinis she wants. All looks great, pretty and colorful but the thing is, She's fat. lol so no matter how good those bikinis, we were like,fit-try and get another one and finally decide to put everything back to the Rack.sigh!
Good thing, after everything, she bought a couple of one piece bright neon color -in XXXL. lol
So I headed to work right after that and I had about 4 minutes to catch my breathe before I time in. Good! I was not late.

But.. I'm starting to hate this surrounding. I love my job but not the people around me.
They all seem like a dog to me. They bark and they bite. It's their nature. Sorry, I know I shouldn't be saying this here, a lot of people might read this because this is actually a public blog. But then again, who cares? That's how I feel or at least right now because I'm suffering from colds and clogged nose and nobody wants to offer their Kleenex brand tissues whenever I sneeze.(mine was empty)

It's a dog-eat-dog- kind of world.

but whatever, anyway, I had a stress reduction kit posted on my table that I would love to offer with them. ;)

Directions:
  1. Place kit on firm surface.
  2. Follow directions in circle of kit.
  3. Repeat step 2 as necessary or until uncomscious.
  4. In unconscious, cease stress reduction activity.

Sometimes I wonder if love is worth fighting for. If it's worth crying all night that you end up sleeping at work. If it is, then I wouldn't mind sleeping whole day. If it is..

Pool party

I was really paranoid when we were in the bus yesterday on the way to Laguna.
I can't help but recall the bus blast incident. So I was like:
"can we move forward? I don't want to sit in middle row" .
I was with my office mate and she told me to just relax and forget about that and enjoy the ride, but I said.
"Why can't we just take a cab"
 and she was like:
"Are you kidding me? Cab? Manila to Laguna? Are you willing to pay thousand of bucks just for a single ride? Where in fact we can have it for fifty five pesos here in this bus!"
"There's no bomb threat in cabs." I answered back.
"But there's a  lot of Psycho drivers." She defended.
So I said "Fine." and put on my phone's headset.
Leaving all the worries behind, enjoying the RnB sound, the temperature and the view outside annnd to my surprised-It feels good. Getting away from the busy place.
*****************
Pasita Comlplex,Laguna sounds far to me but it took us just thirty minutes to get there.
My office mate's daughter is eventually celebrating her birthday  so it wasn't a surprise when I saw the place- color pink is everywhere! and the theme of the party? DORA the explorer-nice. hehehe

Her name is Althea  and she looks much like Dora minus the backpack :))

The place is cool and the food is awesome ,drinks are everywhere so I'm just waiting for someone to roll with me, pero wala.. they just want to enjoy with the kids instead, so i decided to drink alone.

Sanmig light.chupachups.pool water.full moon.

We were not allowed to wear swimsuits (yes) because there were a lot of kids around and they thought it might be a little kind of distraction to  them :))

So we have no choice but to swim with our tees and shorts on.

EMO MUCH.

When I was eight I used to think that love is like a can of jellybean. Not because of any reason but because I just love jellybean! :) I grew up having enough attention needed of a daughter to a parent. I saw them getting old and growing up as a couple with much love and respect. They showed me what love suppose to be like and how should I nurture it once it hits me.

And then it hit me. Hard. And then guess what? It wasn't like a jellybean after all. It wasn't that colorful. It was suffocating. I was getting disappointed each day. And I wonder if it's the kind of love that my parents were talking about, because they were contented and happy and I wasn't.

Eighteen years later. I thought that love is like a sand. Leave the fingers open and it stays. Clutch it, and it darts away and the more you try to hold on the more it's making you weak.
I never expected that it would be this hard. They didn't tell me that It would be like hell. They didn't tell me that I have to be strong. They made me believe that it's like a candy cane-sweet and you'll ask for more.

Tell me,is it true?
Tell me,is it too late?

TODAY I HAVE LEARNED..

- that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

and also..
IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER..
I would have talked less and listened more.
I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained and the sofa faded.
I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.
I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.
I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.
I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.
I would have sat on the lawn with my children and not worried about grass stains. I would have cried and laughed less while watching television - and more while watching life.
I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.
I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.
I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.
Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.
When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "Later. Now go get washed up for dinner."
There would have been more "I love yous"... more "I'm sorrys"...but mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute... look at it and really see it...live it...and never give it back.
Be courageous and bold. When you look back on your life, you'll regret the things you didn't do more than the ones you did.

Heyy, I'm not dying! I  just want these posted so I can share it with you guys! and also to extend my sympathy and condolence to all the victim of the bus blast. :(

Hall of fame

Yess! The connection is awesome tonight so I was able to have a major renovation in cityville! :) But uhmm,I'm not goin' to talk about Cityville or how stupid Globe is when it comes to connection.(peace) Lemme talk about Makati City Hall and how awesome the place is! yup! you heard it right!
So after NBI,our Human Resources department is again pressuring me (lol) to pass all the necessary docs,so I had to do it whenever I had time, like today.
I woke up early and went straight to Muntinlupa Cityhall to request for a certified true copy of my son's birth certificate since there were no records found yet in NSO.
I could say less, the place is full packed as expected.Crowded and I  hate it.
Good thing was, I got the copy earlier than I expected.
So from Muntinlupa, I took a cab to get to Makati City Hall and in less than 15 minutes,I was already there.

NSO-Makati (located at the old Makati Cityhall) is the nearest branch to me (according to Wikipedia) since I'm from Pembo.
I was expecting the same thing when I was about to get there but luckily, there were just few people in line.
I took the chance.

The only thing I didn't like is that there were windows 9,10 and 11 but only window 11 is available for the people.

But anyway, the old lady in window 11 told me that I have to go back in 30 minutes after I paid for it.I said Okay, fine whatever (just kidding).

So I decided to look around and have something to eat,I asked Manong guard if there's any food chain near the area but He said no need to look for a food chain because at the back of the NSO office is actually a Carenderia area. So I checked it out and my, to my surprise there were a lot of foods indeed almost in every corner of the place. The Hungarian sausage caught my eye (yes they sell Hungarian sausage in that Carenderia) but.. no,no thanks. There were also a whole lot of accessories line,I took a picture of it actually.

But since I'm not actually a fan of Carenderia food, I smiled when I saw the famous green store, 7/11!

I can never go wrong with cheap but clean express food! I finished eating in less than 30 minutes hahaha I'm a pro!
When I went back, the authenticated copy birth certificate is soo ready for me!
Nice! In 30 minutes!
